Yeah. On the weekend I recieved my copies of the book "Exploring Javascript", where I wrote a Chapter about JSON.

Beside my JSON chapter it covers the AJAX in General by Arne Blankerts, JavaScript OOP by Markus Nix and Unit Testing in JavaScript by Jörg Schaible.

Thank you Markus for asking me to take part in that project. Its a nice feeling holding the printed copies with my name on it in the hands.

I set up my blog again. I damaged my old installation and i was to busy to repair it. Thats also the reason why I still use a standard design.

I will create a custom one soon. Actually already created a bunch of designs for my blog & personal page, but I guess everyone with a bit creative aptitude has the same problem like me. Everytime I created a design for myself and start implementing, I start to dislike it and want something new. There are too many new ideas popping up that appear to be much better as the previous one.

I think in the next days I will add my archive entries from my old blog again.

New job

At the next week Ill begin my new job at eZ Systems in Dortmund.

I think it will be a interesting new job with challenging tasks and teamwork with great people.

My excitement is raising each day. I hunger for working with my new colleagues like Kore, TobyS, Derick, Sandro, Dirk Schmedding and the others .

I moved inside Dortmund. Many problems came up on this. Like: get a big

vehicle, organize everything, renovate the new home a little and on the

moving day my driver went ill. So everything messed up again .

Today is the first day Im connected to the web again. Here is still some chaos but the light shines through. I had some really hard-working friends that helped me out. I want to thank them again and again. .

In

the last days i had no time for anything else than my new domicile. I

just posted a little on our PHP UG mailinglist. The other time i had to

catch up 5 days of work in 2. You maybe know it – your company had to

finish something and you are the only one who is able or have time to

do it.

The last week hardened me. Keep up even if i where

exhausted. I would think in the last days i grow with the problems i

faced. Maybe you think "hey moving is easy" – then you should had be on

my move. Next time you are invited to help *g

EU Verfassung und der ganze Wahnsinn

Die Franzosen sagen NON die Hollnder NEE und die Politiker wundern sich.

Sicher haben die wenigsten sich wirklich Gedanken ber Vorteile und Nachteile der Verfassung gemacht. Das haben die Politiker versaut, die in Ihrer Grenzenlosen Arroganz meinen das Volk nicht mehr Aufklren und Informieren zu mssen (es sei denn es geht um Urheberrechte bei Musik und Video), sondern einfach ber dessen Kpfe hinweg etwas durchzusetzen.

Der Verdruss der Leute liegt eher darin begrndet, das nicht klar wird welche Vorteile die Verfassung bringen knnte. Die Menschen haben Angst. Wovor? Vor Niedriglhnen, Arbeitsplatzverlust, Lobbyisten usw… Und die Politiker haben bisher alles getan damit diese ngste auch weiter bestehen.

Ich denke auch Flle wie diese zeigen das endlich Schluss sein muss mit dieser Art von Politik. Wenn die Politik wieder fr das Volk (nein, ich meine jetzt nicht "Geschenke fr alle") da ist statt gegen es zu Arbeiten, sind die Menschen auch bereit einer solchen Verfassung zuzustimmen.

Software KVM Switch

I want to make some publicity for synergy.

Its a kind of software which is very usefull when you use more than one computer simultaneously. Its somelike a KVM switch for local use – OS independent – free – and Opensource.

You can use one keyboard and one mouse on n computers which share the peripherals over a TCP/IP-Network. Once connected (works also automatical) you can move your mousepointer out of the screen to another machine (Linux or Windows doesnt matter) and your controls are dedicated to that system.

Hard to understand? Just try it. You will love it.

I.Q. Bildungsverein in Dortmund gegründet

Wie ich der Tageszeitung entnehmen konnte wurde in Dortmund jetzt ein Verein fr Bildung gegrndet. Ziel des Vereins I.Q. (die Seite ist wohl noch nicht aktiv) sei es gegen die miserable Bildungssituation in Deutschland etwas zu tun.

Der Verein veranstaltet in Dortmund nun ersteinmal Sprach- und Computerkurse und sucht weitere Dozenten fr vielfltige Bereiche.

Ich find es lblich das sich Menschen fr soetwas engagieren. Da so etwas doch einiges an Einsatz und persnliche Anstrengung fr die Initiatoren bedeuted, halte ich dies fr ein Armutszeugnis fr die Deutschen Politiker. Das sich die Brger schon fr eine Verbesserung der Bildung einsetzen und auf der anderen Seite die Politiker und Funktionre sich das Geld einstecken find ich traurig.

Geldverschwenung Sozialwahl 2005

Ich habe diese Woche einen Brief der BFA erhalten in der mir freudig mitgeteilt wird das ich in 6 Wochen wieder einen Brief bekommen werde, womit ich erst whlen kann. Weiterhin enthalten war eine Broschre die mir den Vorgang der Wahl erklren soll. Der Broschre anbei war eine Postkarte ber die ich mir noch Informationen ber die Kandidaten anfordern konnte.

Toll das ganze, was soll ich bitte mit so einem Brief anfangen? Das ist doch nur sinnlose Verschwendung von Porto.

Im Brief stand das ich einer von 30 Millionen Wahlberechtigten bin. Ich gehe davon aus das die anderen 29.999.999 Menschen ebenfalls diesen Brief erhalten habe. Also rechne ich fr mich einfach mal 30 Millionen Briefe x 0,25 Euro Porto (Stand drauf) = 7.500.000 Euro. Ich bercksichtige jetzt nicht die Produktionskosten fr Druck u.s.w. da ich die Information an sich ja ganz ok finde, nur htte das doch auch in EINEM Brief zusammen mit den Wahlunterlagen erfolgen knnen, oder nicht? Mal abgesehen davon das damit die Rentenkasse belastet werden knnt ich mir naiv gedacht eher vorstellen solche Betrge Hilfsbedrftigen zugute kommen zu lassen oder dem zerfallenden Bildungssystem statt auf diese Weise die Post zu subventionieren.
